Away from the main tourist routes, the 18-hole golf course located on the beautiful sunny Westendorf plateau opened in 2014. The youngest golf course in the region with a total length of 5882 m (par 72) impresses everybody with its extremely peaceful location and Scandinavian flair.

The championship golf course, beautifully embedded in the 64-hectare natural landscape, was awarded a Four Star Superior Award by the Federal Golf Association in the spring of 2015. Protected in the north by the imposing Hohe Salve, the flat and easy-to-walk course offers sporting challenges and an unforgettable panoramic view of the Tyrolean mountains.

Incredible thermal conditions, beautiful natural landscapes and the convenient location of the cable car attract many pilots to Westendorf.

If you are not a professional, you can float from the top to the bottom with a professional pilot on a tandem parachute - an unforgettable experience.
Upon request, the pilot can also show you unforgettable acrobatic moves and allow you to steer the parachute yourself; as a passenger, you do not need any experience. Paragliding is possible both in summer and winter.

Outdoor swimming pool Westendorf
The outdoor pool offers a total of 5 pools: a splash pool, a swimming and non-swimming pool, a children's pool and a pool with slides. A large sunbathing area (partly shaded), a small playground and a table tennis table all add to the summer fun.

Canyoning is the crossing of a canyon from top to bottom in various different ways. By abseiling, climbing, jumping, sliding, swimming and sometimes even diving, you can get through the canyons as long as you have the suitable equipment.

Westendorf has gained yet another tourist attraction. Since the beginning of July 2013, archers have also been able to hunt in Westendorf. More than 40 life-size foam animals await you on the 3D archery range at the Alte Mittel. Spread over 28 stations, the tournament course offers great ‘shots’, unique views and lots of nature.

FAMILY HIKING

Family hiking is not about speed or altitude differences, it is about spending time together in the mountains. In addition to the mountain adventures world, the Brixental also offers hiking trails suitable for prams as well as relaxing themed trails. Down in the valley there are playgrounds, a daily-changing family and children's programme and swimming lakes and pools.

The mountains of the Alps look sublime and majestic and are made up of both rugged, striking rock formations and soft, green grassy mountains. The mountains around the Brixental villages, Brixen im Thale, Kirchberg and Westendorf, belong to the softer side of the Alps. Nevertheless, the numerous peaks reach more than 2400 metres above sea level. For hikers, the area offers great opportunities with varied tour options and more than 500 kilometres of marked and signposted hiking trails. The fun part: Everyone can find exactly what they are looking for. Whether it be simple, easy-to-walk panoramic hikes supported by the cable car, extended day hikes with summit conquests, or even multi-day hikes for experienced mountain enthusiasts - the Kitzbüheler Alpen make hikers' hearts leap for joy.

Explore the mountains on horseback. Horse riding lessons are also offered. You can ride horses all year round at the Ellmerershof and the Weberhof in Brixen im Thale. In summer also at the Haflingerhof in Westendorf.
